Vayando is a community driven tool connecting curious travelers directly with local entrepreneurs in emerging economies around the world. Our goal is to create economic opportunity for entrepreneurs while facilitating immersive experiences for travelers. We promote entrepreneurs that have high interest and motivation in sharing their livelihood skills, knowledge base, or local business with travelers visiting their area.
Vayando markets entrepreneurs across the socioeconomic spectrum, from folks earning just a few dollars per day focused on their traditional livelihood to those with export capacity at the forefront of innovation in their country. Livelihoods include local farming, animal husbandry, agroforestry, beekeeping, fishing, shopkeeping, ethnic food preparation, the arts, cottage industries, handicraft production, coffee harvesting, public health outreach, environmental conservation initiatives, cooperative level production, fashion designers, and more. The possibilities are endless.
For scale, Vayando coordinates with reputable in-country Field-Partner organizations - such as Peace Corps, Care International, and others - to identify motivated entrepreneurs and work with them in creating a booking profile on our platform. Vayando is a resource for NGO field staff to diversify income generation for motivated entrepreneurs in the communities where they are working. In addition to field partner organizations, we connect with direct trade importers to market artisan and producer cooperatives - and coop members - they are engaged with, as well travel bloggers or individuals with extensive experience in our countries of operation interested in livelihood development.
If this sounds like you, then message us with your details to request a Field Partner Profile registration and we'll walk you through the process of creating and managing profile's for Entrepreneurs in your area.
